The Walk to Defeat ALS® Spring Season is Here.I Will Walk
2018 Walk to Defeat ALS
October 6th, 2018
West Sacramento, CA
With the options of a 1 mile or 3 mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association, Greater Sacramento Chapter’s biggest annual event, which raises funds to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year. Last year we had the largest goal in history- $310,500! Thanks to YOU we crushed that goal and raised $346,000!
In 2018 the bar has been raised again! Our goal is $357,000 in order to meet the increasing needs of local families battling ALS.

KVIE PBS has a brilliantly produced documentary available on their website that tells the story of ALS after the phenomena of the Ice Bucket Challenge. Its only 30 minutes so check it out, and you will get to see some of our own employees who work directly with pALS. It can be very eye opening to see what a person with ALS goes through on a daily basis. Click the picture on the left to watch it and be sure to let us know what you think!
