This is year eight for TEAM SAVITA as we walk in the memory of our grandmother, Savita. (more on her below)
For someone living with ALS, uncertainty and fear take hold upon diagnosis. Add a global pandemic and now people living with ALS and their loved ones are forced to navigate seemingly impossible choices and concerns.
Here is how you can help: donate what you can give - $1 or $10 - and collectively bring us one step closer to finding a cure.
As always, our sincerest gratitude. xx
Donations will fund the following:
Access to telemedicine programs that keep people with ALS connected to their medical care teams.
Support group programs and therapy for people with ALS and their loved ones.
Durable medical equipment and speech communication device purchases and delivery.
Responsive grants to support caregivers, transportation, and supply needs.
A fierce force of nature who taught us how to embrace life in the present, Savita spent the last three years of her life adapting to the struggles that limited her daily activities. Yet, she never lost that spark; her will to live, her love of laughter, her compassion for family, and her fondness of desserts were some of her vibrant and notable characteristics. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her colorful life and it can be witnessed in the legacy she left behind within the seven of us.
